i push the button
when there are abnormalities
—it draws my heartbeat.
my heart is an artist.
unfortunately, i was born
in a tree. i was supposed to be
born in a skyscraper.
i read poems to the lake
and yet again
no one in the woods
applauds & i bury
the book i brought
like a seed,
like a coffin.
my heart
creates another piece of art.
