by Madeline Blair
last night, i had a dream containing ai-generated images.
justin beaver tattooed the letter U under the heart on my little toe. he told me
it was to symbolize self-love and alchemized grief.
my ex-lover later picked me up in a rental car, his face shaped like a crescent moon.
i recognize the street as my street. the world as my world.
the past keeps coming back to haunt me, but i'm imagining the future when i wake.
in every dream i whisk away the silverfish from the porches of those i love.
